Snowshoe Canada acts as the national non profit for the development of Snowshoeing in Canada.
Our services include event sanctioning, athlete development, marketing support, membership services and sponsorship packages. Our mission is to grow the sport by providing a safe, positive and inclusive environment for everyone. Our accountability is to the event organizers, athletes, venue operators, corporate sponsors and related stakeholders.
The items in this store have been custom designed and managed by Kit Patron a leader in sports apparel.
We do not stock any items.
All items are made to order.
Orders can be placed on line and are manufactured and shipped to order within 4-6 weeks. The proceeds from the sale of the apparel items will go towards supporting the programs of Snowshoe Canada.

Prize Money
This is an area of our athlete development is important.
In order to attract the top distance athletes we need to provide prize money as an incentive to compete in this sport. Athlete development takes many forms and prize money for top performance is an important part of it.
Snowshoe Canada puts up a prize purse at the Canadian National Championship. A total prize purse of $1000 is available.
There is also a $1000 prize purse available for the total points winner of the Dion Canada Snowshoe Series.
We would like to keep increasing this prize purse every year.
With this in mind we are looking for partners who would like to contribute to this prize pool. There is no minimum set as yet. We are trying to build this into a significant part of our championship races and would like to talk to various partners who would be interested in contributing.
Contributors would receive recognition for their donations in a fashion similar to advertising.

Awards & Trophies
Awards and Trophies are another way to recognize those athletes who have excelled at our events. They are presented with our annual trophies at our award ceremonies along with souvenir medals. The top over all winners have their names engraved on our annual trophies.

BC Provincial Championship
Prize Money for Elite Athletes
In order to continue to move the sport forward and attract larger participation we need to pay attention to the needs and wants of elite athletes. These are very talented people who spend long hours training often with little or no remuneration. In order to attract elite athletes to this sport we need to do more for them then provide a swag item and a finisher’s medal. They more often than not have been engaged in endurance sports for many years and have collected dozens of souvenirs from races. Prize money is an incentive to compete in our races and helps to offset the costs of travel, training and entry fees.
We currently offer a $1000 prize purse for the Canadian National Championships. We also offer an additional $1000 for the points winners in the annual Dion Canada Snowshoe Series.
We are currently looking for corporate partners and private donations to help raise the prize money for our Elite Athletes.
