Caledon Ski Club 1st Annual Snowshoe Event a Success

When you do something for the first time you are never really sure if your endeavor will be successful.

All the planning in the world can and is done but at some point you just have to take the risk and go for it.

The first annual snowshoe event at Caledon Ski club was a a success in spite of a very cold morning on January 20, 2019. This inaugural event was only open to the Caledon Ski Club members and guests.

The temperature did result in fewer signups then anticipated, but those that came out had a good time.

It was also a good test for the Caledon staff who were interested to know how everything would play out once the race started.

The course was very challenging, well marked and in good condition considering the modest amount of snow at that point of the winter.

Overall we had good feedback from the participants and staff and there is a strong interested for next year.

The goal for next year would be to open up the event to the general public

Tentative date fro next year is Sunday January 19th, 2020.

The official announcement will be up on this site as soon as it is confirmed.
