Board Members Needed
Snowshoe Canada is expanding and we need talented volunteers to fill important positions.
Play a key role in the growth of this non-profit sport organization and help build the sport.
Provincial Representatives
In order to expand our services, Snowshoe Canada requires at least one person in each province to act as a provincial representative. The person will work closely with the president to help grow the sport in his/her province through interaction with local venues, clubs, event directors, government agencies, sponsors and other stakeholders. A background in sports management, marketing, communications or business management would be helpful.
Head Coach
We are seeking an experienced person to help us move forward with our plans to develop a coaching and athlete development program. Snowshoeing is very simple sport to learn but we do need someone to lead this area. The person should have some background in coaching or training adults and or children and have the ability to create a plan and follow through on it.
The positions require the person to be sports-minded with a broad range of sports knowledge, some background in operating a sports organization and some specific skills in one or more areas of responsibility.
The time requirement for the position is flexible but the person should be able to devote a few hours a week to the organization. Formal meetings will be called periodically as required and will be done via phone.
