Gatineau Loppet Snowshoe Race Sunday February 17th, 2019.

The Gatineau Loppet is one of the top cross country ski events in the world.

In addition to the cross country skiing they have been staging a snowshoe event for the last few years and it has been growing every year as snowshoeing is becoming more popular in Quebec.

The event will have a 5 k short course event and a 10 k long course event.

Each participant will receive a souvenir swag item and along with finishers medallion and a hot lunch at the conclusion of the event.

Overall top finishers and age group top three winners will eligible for medals.

The event is once again sanctioned by Snowshoe Canada and it will serve as the grand finale event of the inaugural Quebec Cup Snowshoe series.

The first event in the series will be Saturday February 9th in Mont Sainte Anne.

In order to be eligible for the Quebec points series the athletes must compete in both events.

The top three male and female in the short course and the long course who complete in the mont Sainte Anne and Gatineau events will eligible for medals.
